11:00 am – 1:00 pm Masterclass
Cool climate grape growing and winemaking of Poland past, present and future presented by Monika Bielka-Vescovi – IMW Stage 2, DipWSET, Director of Education at Szkoła Sommelierów.
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Tasting at stand, connected with treats
Viticulture in Poland dates back to the introduction of Christianity in 966, however the modern era of winemaking started in the 1980’s. Today there are over 230 wineries registered. In times when global warming is a major global concern, come and discover Polish cool climate vine growing.

Monika Bielka-Vescovi – Monika Bielka-Vescovi – founder of Polish wine school – Szkoła Sommelierów, honorary president of the Polish Women and Wine Association, international wine judge, wine journalist. Educator at Napa Valley Wine Academy, Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Collegium Civitas in Warsaw and Subcarpathian Wine Academy in Jasło. Former beverage director and wine trainer at Six Senses Resorts and Spas in Asia, former fine dining manager in Memphis TN, Broomfield & Boulder CO USA. Loves to study and continues her wine journey as a student of Institute of Masters of Wine stage 2. Weinakadmieker at Weinakademie Österreich in Rust, Ambassador Women of the Vine & Spirits as well as European Association of Sommeliers in Poland, former board member at Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, Baillage de Pologne and Enchanson de Pologne. In 2017 awarded best female entrepreneur award by Law Business Quality Magazine. In 2015 recognized as one of 25 females that inspire small business success by Twój Styl magazine.
